Since February 2nd 2012, you can find a Ramen Shop on the 2nd floor of our store. Together with chef Fow Ping we offer authentic Japanese Ramen Noodle Soup. These aren’t your basic ramen noodles though, we strive to bring you a bowl full of passion, fresh Japanese noodles in a deep broth, without any artificial flavour enhancers. The original Japanese flavour.

Ramen comes in all kinds of flavours and sizes. The soup base we use is made of pork bones, called tonkotsu. Ramen lovers will be familiar with this name, because the best ramen noodles always have a tonkotsu based soup. It is well known that the most important part of a bowl of ramen is the soup. A good bowl of tonkotsu ramen is hard to find in Amsterdam, and Le Fou Fow is one of the few places where you can have it served. The reason for this is that it takes at least 6 hours to get a good base soup and not many people want to invest that much time into a noodle soup.

Some say Japanese ramen is incomplete without a side dish of gyoza, Japanese potsticker dumplings with pork and vegetables inside. So that’s why we offer these too. Our gyoza are home made with fresh ingredients, because good ramen deserves good gyoza.

For the vegetarians among us, we have a shio (salt) based soup and gyoza dumplings without pork. And for those of us who do not eat pork, we can make a ramen without pork.

So why not drop by for lunch, get a nice bowl of ramen while enjoying the view outside.
